How bout for Chinese? I was planning to take two languages at school but my course counselor didn't really approve of it. So now I was thinking I could take Latin in school and maybe do a bit of Chinese study out of school.

About 2 hours. I'm lazy. 1 to SAT II Physics, 1 to SAT I random crap I want to work on.

Review books, sometime I google stuff I'm having problems with. I have a reference Halliday textbook for phys.

Don't do it all at once! I get jittery and want to do stuff because sitting for such a long time just sucks. I play tennis, go to the pool, run errands, run/jog, do some yoga (haha shut up it's fun.), hang out with friends, eat out, etc.etc. and just generally study as soon as I wake up and before I go to bed so the rest of my day is free.

tabula no offense thats the wrong approach, heres my approach do your summer work then play video games/eat. then read some books before you go to sleep, like great gatsby, of mice and men, grapes of wrath, odessey, a microbiology text book(its from my cousin who had just graduated from yale university

She also gave me her anatomy and physiology text book

No offense taken, but it's not wrong because it works for me. :)

Note: I'm a rising junior.

-How much time do you dedicate each day to study?
1 1/2 hours of Chemistry, about 2 hours reading my summer reading requirements (The Scarlet Letter and Profiles in Courage), 1 hour of SAT prep, annnd about 1 hour of Algebra II review because I am incredibly bad at math.

-How Do you study, from a textbook? Computer?
Study guides and my old notebooks.

-Any Advice?
DO NOT for the love of God PROCRASTINATE! Get away from the computer, is all. Haha I am such a hypocrite.

I sincerely didnt' know so many ppl studied during summer. I never did, but maybe that's why I graduated 24th in my class when I could have been much higher (well, not doing any hw and skipping class and tests will also do the trick. =P).
I also don't see hwo u can really study for an SAT besides memorizing vocab (which is a pain in the rear, especially when english is not your first language).

^actually theres a lot you can do to study for the SAT...like strategies and stuff ....it helped me a lot...but i guess it depends on the person

EVERYONE notes spiffy stairs is a geek who has no life...

You wait to school starts and then learn....reminder evertone spiffy is a geek

Reminder: sean123 is an incredible tool.

And proud of it, Sean, darling.

I wish I had time to study as much as some of you...menial labor is a sick, sick thing. Once I quit being a theme-park girl (Monday), my schedule is going to consist of calculus, more advanced chemistry (for AP next year), and beginning to self-study for AP physics B, AP psychology, and AP environmental science. I have a text for the calc, prep books for psych and physics, and online notes for the chem.

Advice? Like what you're doing, be interested in the material - both of those are things that you can't force, but it's really the only way I think you'll stick to something and remember it well. Think of the advantages you'll have by either getting ahead or prepping for standardized tests. Stick to a plan; not necessarily a schedule, but set deadlines for having things done.
