I want to do soo much over the summer, not enough time. As for studying, I want to teach myself C++ , start MV Calc, and start learning AP Physics C.

Oh yeah, and the SATs....

Is anybody going to study an AP course over the summer? Or take a course? Or a summer program / internship ? Or just not study anything and go into a vegetative state?

Summer homework although that likely won’t be much. I also want to learn C++ and will likely try to learn python as well (neither should be hard to do since I can already understand java). SAT Subject Tests in June and I’ll study Math II for a while and I don’t intend to review Biology Environmental and World History for longer than 30 minutes each since I’m assuming the preparation/taking for the AP test in bio/world history should have me be ready enough.

As for a program week long conference where I basically debate US federal law/treaty proposals (primarily law proposals).

I’ll trust my school to teach me all I need for the AP tests I plan to do next year that I’m doing the classes (I’ll still review for the test but not til April/May). The ones that I intend to self study I’ll do most of the content over the summer since I don’t want to cram self studying again like I did this year.

Last thing is study computer science in depth and primarily algorithms along with study chemistry not for a class but because I want to try to make either USNCO or USACO next year.

Nothing, it’s summer.
Oh well probably memorize ions because that’s AP Chem summer homework and some other AP summer homework, but besides that, I wouldn’t make an effort.

Try to prepare myself for AP Euro.

I’m supposed to read through a few chapters in the textbook for AP U.S. History and read “Into the Wild” for AP Language and Composition. I’ll probably skim the chapters in the textbook or just look for answers to the worksheet online, though I will read the book for english. Other than that, nothing. The way I see it, summer is my three month break. I’ll learn things on a whim, but I’m not going to commit to learning anything substantial.

I plan on working alot during the summer because I believe that teenagers should hold a job. I take most of my APs online so I plan on getting a headstart on AP Micro or Macro Economics and AP Physics.

Nothing. Most seniors are burnt out anyways and need to relax until college. At least I am anyways.

Oh yeah, I agree that seniors are burnt out and deserve a break this summer. However, for sophomores and juniors, the summer is a time for resume building and test preparation!

Hey Legacy, I’m not familiar with all of the olympiads, but I really want to try USAPhO. (My school doesn’t offer it, I’ll be paying to have the test administered for myself only). Do you know how competitive these competitions are? Are the people that make the semifinals practically science gods, or just regular students who study hard? And how much time do you plan on devoting if you want to go far either of the Olympiads you will compete in?

I plan on getting started on all my AP classwork(AP Chem, Enviro, Gov, Lang, and Comp. Science) since I am homeschooled and want to give myself a headstart so that I have plenty of review time, plus I am going to practice my piano, and cello, and try and volunteer, and train for a race

i’m like a language crazy person … but then i realized that i can also use this for college stuff so i’ll be studying korean hard for the SAT subject test
i’ll also be doing sat prep
and uhhh i have summer homework for my ap classes
and i plan to really imporve my piano and viola and be really productive
hopefully i can grow over the summer -____-
i wanna grow taller
ook well that’s not really studying
but ok
yah
i think i may start on my ap selfstudies during the summer? idk if that’s a good idea though

summer homework (Lit, Art History, Enviro), , acadec (haha) I’m going to try to self-study the Micro exam hopefully. Don’t wanna be too stressed for senior year :)

I plan to begin learning programming, as I believe it’s what I want to do later on as a career. Also going to go hard as **** for the October SAT (1780 on last one just isn’t gonna do it). I have a job and I’m also hoping to boost my extracurriculars a good deal, as I believe they are lacking. Any tips?

Linear algebra! I’m going to need it / it’ll be nice to know and I don’t think it’s in the path of my major, but it is necessary for an electrical engineer to have this still.

(Programming is nice, but eww, I have college classes for that instead)

I have a ton of summer homework for AP French. None if it is hard, though. I have to watch French movies and news, and do a project on a francophone country. For AP Lit, I have to read a book (not sure which, yet), and for AP Gov, I have to do summaries of famous SCOTUS cases.

Chill before college. Maybe some reading but that’s it.

I’m busy with memorizing ions for Chem and doing an insane amount of summer wirk for APUSH.

Have you tried Memrise for memorizing polyatomics?

I have two books to read for AP English Lit, and I’m super busy with volunteering. Also gwtting a head start on college apps so I probably won’t have time to start self-studying any of the 8 APs I’m taking. I’d like to brush up on some of my Spanish though.

Learning a years worth of organic chem! and starting college essays and taking a few act practice tests and studying for math 1 or 2

@Michelledeg, are you memorizing ions for AP Chemistry? Because I’m taking it next year (not too excited, I just want to get a 5 w/out much effort).

Do you need to memorize ions for AP Chem? Or are you doing it for some other class?

Anyone that’s doing memorizing for AP Chem, check out this website I wrote for memorizing solubility rules: solubility.herokuapp.com/

5 minutes a day and you should be set, atleast for solubility rules.
