Stuff-LONG: Involves Harvard, Stanford, Pomona

[Right off the back, I apologise for the length]

Howdy,

I've done some exploring and have created my final list of schools; now I want to play that ever-so-fun game of "What are my chances." I thought my "stats" were good, but then I started reading CC--and it certainly did wonderful things to my feelings of security. Could you guys help me out by looking at my profile?--a) is it a reasonable list and b) what do you think my chances are? (By the way, I'm sorry if I sound too flippant or something--I have a weird sense of humour. And I use British spelling. Marvellous.)

Reach:
Harvard - Physics (maybe Political Science or Theology)
Stanford - Physics
Pomona - Biochemistry

Match:
UC Berkley - Physics (I have ELC status), Reagents?
UC Los Angels - Physics (Ditto as above), Reagents?

Safety:
Cal Poly SLO - Engineering, Honours Program?
UC Davis - Physics, Reagents?

Ethnicity/Gender: White, Male

GPA: 4.0/4.0 (UW) 4.6/4.0 (W)

Hard schedule with 10 AP Classes completed:
Chemistry
Composition and Language
Composition and Literature
Calculus BC ... 5 (And yes, this is the only AP test I have ever taken.)
Statistics
Biology
Economics
Government
History
Physics

Rank: Top 2%

SAT I: 2120 (710 V 700 M 710 W)
SAT II: Lit-710 Math IIC-780 Biology M-710

I completed 35 quarter units at community college (GPA: 4.0) and earned enough units for a minor in philosophy at UCLA (GPA: 3.8). I started taking these classes in 6th grade and have taken one or two every summer since. (For a pretty penny too!--I had to keep a part-time job to pay for them.)

PSAT: National Merit Semi-Finalist (220)

ECs:

Voting Member of a City Commission. Helped draft a few polices and created, administered, analysed, and published a large-scale survey.

9th, 10th, 11th, Student Body President. I've done a lot of work as Student Body President. I increased the ASB's revenue from $10,000 to $25,000 through a lot of fundraising; I challenged the School Board to rewrite several polices which were quite unpopular with the Student Body--and they responded by letting we, the students, rewrite them!; I recruited the most diverse Student Government in history ... simply put (with a tad melodrama thrown in), Student Government has been something I take a lot of pride in.

Good amount of community service (>1000 hrs, I don't keep track of it) as a founding member of an organisation which does social justice work with low-income families in the LA area. I have been flown to present my experiences at national and international conferences. Also, I am the lead-author in a research article submitted for publication in the Harvard Educational Review.

Odds and Ends:

Made a video which was distributed to Universities and Institutes around the world (~200 at $250 a pop).
Born and raised in South America.
LOVE underground Hip-Hop and Electronica music: Prefuse 73, Cannibal Ox, Mr. Lif, Juggaknots, Busdriver, DJ Shadow, etc. This love affair manifests itself as a much-too-large-and-much-too-expensive music library.

Jobs:
Grading papers (hurray!)-3 years (8 hrs./wk)
Internship at local Pathology Laboratory-6 Months (~100 hrs.)

Recommendations:
I think they'll be strong.

If you've made it this far, God bless you and your patience. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks ya'll!
