Stumped on University of Texas Essays

<p>I'm lost at what to write for the UT essays. </p>

<p>Here is the prompt:</p>

<p>Write an essay in which you tell us about someone who has made an impact on your life and explain how and why this person is important to you.</p>

<p>I'm drawing a blank because I am a pretty independent person, and mostly do things by myself. </p>

<p>The only option I think I could use would be my Mom raising me, but that seems boring, and probably overused...</p>

<p>Any advice?</p>

<p>I just did my English teacher. Even though I've only known her for six months, she helped me a lot. You could even try your counselor if he/she has helped you. The prompt asks for a person who has made an impact on you. Now that I think about it, you could even do someone from the past who has inspired you. Good luck!</p>
