Stupid mistakes on math...should I retake?

Although I'm happy with my overall score (2290), I'm really frustrated because I made the stupidest mistakes on the math section (resulting in a 740, my lowest score). This was the first time that I took it. I am thinking of applying to Dartmouth ED next year.

Should I retake to get 2300+? I just feel like that looks better than a 2290...I KNOW that I can raise my math score. Do you think that it's worth it?

I you are confident you can improve your score, then why not?

It depends on your major, and whether or not you think you can still maintain good scores in CR and writing.

acutally wouldnt universities only take into consideration her highest scores per section, so she wouldn't really have to worry about CR and W this time around?
