How much earlier should I ask my old colleges for a copy of my transcript prior to sending out my application? I can't do anything till Monday. Will it be fine if I sent out check to my one old college on Monday morning, then at my current college have the college send out my transcript that morning as well, and then later that day hit send on my application? Or should I give it a day or two? I'm always afraid my application will just sit there for a while with no transcripts to prove my academic history.

Also, another thing...Is there any loophole that would allow me to qualify for in-state tuition even though I've been living in Charlotte, NC since August '08?

I still have a bank account in NJ, and I do have a 2008 filed NJ State tax return. My parents are divorced, so my Mother lives in NJ and all my stuff in NJ is at her address in East Brunswick.

Also how solid are my chances?

At Kean I had a 3.1 with about 40 credits, then I transferred to UNC Charlotte, and right now I have about another 40 credits with a 3.3. My HS GPA was a 3.5, ranked 80/414. SAT no longer applies for me. I've had a steady job history, well 2 jobs that I've been at for 4 years, and now 1 year. I've also done my fair bit of community service, muscular dystrophy camp and what not.

Anyone have any answers?

Well it usually takes a few days for schools to actually send out transcripts when you request them, but it just depends on how busy they are. I sent my application and then a few days later I sent my transcripts. I honestly don’t think it matters to them as long as they get everything.

I’m not sure about the instate thing because I don’t know the rules… I’ve always been in nj! lol

What school are you applying to within Rutgers? They probably won’t really consider your high school records even though you have to send them in because you have so many credits already. Your gpa is good enough for the school of arts and sciences, but I don’t know what the other schools look for. I transferred into SAS with a 3.26 this fall.

I’m an English Major, I want to end up getting certified to teach HS.

Okay, thats in the school of arts and sciences. Having above a 3.0 is good for SAS.

A fellow transfer from Kean! How exciting! This is my last semester at Kean before I go to Rutgers for Spring of 2010 (was just accepted). I had to hound Kean to send out my transcripts unfortunately. Depending on the school it SHOULD take about 1-3 days to send out and a week at most for the school to receive it.

They already sent my Kean transcript since I did it off of Keanwise.

I’m still waiting from my HS and UNCC.
