<p>I sent the transcripts last year, but this year they redid the rankings. I want to send a new one, will MIT update it? I'm nervous they'll just throw it out as a duplicate or something lol.</p>

<p>Considering you should have one more semester of high school under your belt, I don’t see why they would think it was a duplicate. Also, why would they save your application from last year? Is that their policy?</p>
<p>no sorry i’m a senior. I sent a transcript right as school ended last year (junior year), but my school didnt tell me that class rank hadnt been run yet. 
as far as i know the transcripts are identical except for that one number</p>
<p>send with a note attached, or add a note in additional info section. maybe they’ll read it before chucking your second transcript.</p>
<p>ok, my counselor said it is not possible to send notes with the transcripts. do you think it would be ok to email the admissions office to let them know?</p>
