I am going to take the chem test and I WAS thinking of taking math II for my second subject...however I dont' think I have enough time to adequately prepare.

Would it be better if I took the Math I subject? Does UVA frown upon the math I?

From what I heard Math 1 has steeper curve and thus consequently it's harder to score at.. I remember I made at least 3 mistakes, it could have been up to 5, in Math 2, but I still got 800 anyway! :) But anyway how's your math ability? You know yourself best..

you could always take a practice test and see how you do....math 2 isn't really that hard..its just that time goes by really quickly. at least thats what i think.

I remember Math I being pretty easy actually, students at my high school who took precalc could take Math I easily. However, since it was so easy it was harder to get a higher score, because more points are taken off for one wrong question than when compared to Math II. I took Math II and did quite well, despite not being a math person.

lol, thanks TheBarron12, Cornell's Ag school waitlisted me.

jumpngo, I'm actually going to be paying full price entirely for UVA next year, my school didn't nominate me for the Jefferson. Perfectly fine with me though, I'm happy to pay to go to UVA.

lol wow. I bet if you were dominated, you'd be in the running. geeze, your #s are off the chart. Are you from VA? and how many subject tests did you take?

Yeah, I'm from Virginia. I actually took 3 SAT IIs. You can actually see those if you look at my stats profile. But for UVA, my numbers are definitely not off the charts. I know several people with scores significantly higher than mine who are going to UVA.

Yeah. I saw. Did you go to the TJ Math & Science? Anyways, your scores are def. like top 10% of the applicants though, would you say? Some people I know got in with SAT score of 2020, and 2000, and 2200 some (went to TJMS and another that went to MGWS)
