Sublease in New Haven for the Summer

My son will be traveling all summer and is looking for someone to sublease his apartment in New Haven. The apartment is one of the nicer apartments at Yale in a very safe location. It will be available from May 25th through August 22nd or 23rd. It is a two bedroom, two bath apartment with washer/dryer in the unit and is located at 262 College Street, which is a very safe neighborhood. If you know of anyone who might be interested in sub-leasing, please pm me and I will put you in touch with my son.

I wanted to add that he could take two people or just one person as both rooms in the apartment are available.

I just asked my daughter and she said to have him post on “Free and for sale” because she knows of lots of people that are looking.

@momofmusician17: Many Yale students try to sublease their apartments during summer, so the asking price of summer sublets takes a steep plunge, relative to actual rents. One look at Craigslist will corroborate that fact, so your son may have to offer his apartment at a bargain basement price to attract a summer renter: https://newhaven.craigslist.org/search/sub

@gibby - If he could even get half of the rent, it would be better than the apartment sitting empty for the summer. I don’t know if he posted on Craigslist. I am going to recommend that to him. Thanks for the insight.
