So I just checked one of the graduate schools that I applied to and under "Submission Status" it states:

Recommended by Program; processing at the Graduate School

What does "Graduate School" entail? Is it just some paperwork or is it another selection committee? The word "processing" makes me think (and hope) that I have basically been selected, but they are just checking my information...is this a valid assumption? Thanks!

Generally that means you are accepted, pending a final review by the Graduate School which will just make sure that the department dotted the t’s and crossed the i’s. Still, wait a week or two and it should be final.

Thanks! I hope you are right!

Yes, I was amazed as well. I received a phone call from a representative a couple of weeks ago and she said that since I have all of my paperwork in, I should know “within a few weeks”. Apparently she wasn’t lying.

I haven’t even finished the application process for most of my other schools (still waiting on paperwork to arrive/recommendation letters from busy professors), but I am happy because this particular school is in my top 2. :)

Woohoo! I just got into Purdue!
