I've already submitted the Common App to my early decision schools and while the essay isn't bad, I randomly thought of a better topic I could write an essay on for regular decision.

I understand that CA wants to discourage the customization of essays, hence "We allow these changes to your essay to correct grammar or spelling mistakes, not to submit different essays" in the FAQ. But what I'm looking at doing is not customizing but scrapping the essay and submitting a new one completely for every future college.

So basically: can I do this? If it was wrong, they wouldn't know, right? Also, the above statement could be interpreted as "we allow changes for the intended reason of correcting grammar mistakes, not for the intended reason of submit different essays." Thus there would be no explicit statement that I can't do this. Not sure if I'd just be sneaky, though.
