<p>i submitted my application to yale early action last saturday, and still haven't heard back from them either via email or regular mail. about how long do i have to wait before getting confirmation and the password needed to check my application status online?</p>

<p>My son received his PIN via regular mail 9 days after he submitted his app. Never got an e-mail (except from the Common App folks).</p>
<p>they take their time. My daughter got an email after a week, saying the PIN would arrive in the mail, and it arrived about 9 days after the email</p>

<p>It probably couldn't hurt to call the admissions office and ask when you can expect to receive your PIN.</p>
<p>I submitted my application last Sunday, 10/21, and my guidance counselor sent my additional materials in on Tuesday, 10/23. I just recieved notification from Yale that they have all my materials today, 10/29.</p>
<p>did you get the email that says this:</p>
<p>"With this email we acknowledge receipt of the admissions documents needed to review your application to Yale."</p>
<p>does that mean they have everything? i haven't gotten my PIN in the mail yet.</p>

<p>How long after you submit do you get the email? I still haven't gotten the email and I mailed my stuff on October 24th...</p>
<p>I submitted on Oct. 27, got the email notification Nov. 6, still waiting for PIN though.</p>

<p>Wow... I submitted on Oct. 25. Got the email on the 29th and the letter on the 1st. Why did it take so much less time for me?</p>

<p>I received my e-mail confirmation from Yale on the 6th. I submitted my Common App on the 25th of October. I haven't received my PIN but I expect it next week.</p>
<p>Submitted on Oct 15th. Confirmation on the 22nd. Pin around the 3rd of November(International Student)</p>

i fear if my app even worthy to be considered!</p>
<p>Submitted mine on the 29th via snail mail....No word yet whatsoever...supposing Yale got it on the 1st, I suppose that's only 8 days, but I'm getting a tad worried.</p>
<p>Everyone gets a PIN eventually, a delay is not a statement about the strength of your application - this part of the process is handled by the office staff, not by admissions officers. </p>
<p>My daughter's PIN arrived 10 days after the email, but people who submitted after she did got theirs quicker, so I think it's just luck of the draw how soon it arrives.</p>
