Did this happen to anyone else?

Arutha, on which part of the SAR do you see this…processing info, comments, etc. I only see one reference to academic year on my D’s and it says 2011-2012. Did you also do the 10-11 FAFSA by mistake?

It shows at the very top, as the title. I am sure I did 2011-12 FAFSA and I’ve printed everything. I am talking about the SAR pdf file.

I don’t have the SAR yet. But the confirmation page when we submitted it says 2011-2012.

Are you sure you did not do the wrong one? Try going back to the FAFSA page and starting the 2011-2012 one and see what it says.

xposted with Arutha. I will let you know when we get our SARs.

Ohhhh…yes, I hadn’t clicked on Print Summary quite yet…it does say 2010-2011 at the top. Clearly this is an error…the Processing Information page references 2011-2012 and there’s no doubt that I filed the 11/12 form (my D already is in college, so had a 10/11 previously).

How long should it take to get the SAR? I submitted my FAFSA on 01/01/11 and have not received it yet.

I submitted mine yesterday and I have my SAR today.

My PDF also says 2010-2011 on top. I sent them an email.

Our SAR Print Summary shows 2010-11 as well. In fact, the dates shown in many of the questions appear to be from the 2010-11 FAFSA application.

I know we submitted the 2011-12 FAFSA - our confirmation page showed 2011-12.

I wonder if they didn’t update their SAR forms from last year?

I’m curious if this is a common problem. Anyone else have the wrong dates on their FAFSA print summary?

Hey, I’ll be the first one in the office to know. Thanks, guys! :)

(No, I haven’t filed the FAFSA yet. Since EFC > COA, I’m not in much of a hurry.)

Will it cause problems Kelsmom? Mine has the wrong year on it as well.

I sent an email to FAFSA about it. No surprise.

I think the wrong year is only on the SAR pdf file. If you go back to FAFSA and check your application, the report says the correct year. I am not sure what the Colleges get though. I hope they will know when they see the wrong year on every application.

Colleges get an ISIR, rather than a SAR. It doesn’t matter what heading is on the SAR … the school receives the FAFSA information in a computer file, and that will be based on the FAFSA year. The feds just forgot to update the date on the SAR heading!

phew!!!I would have been bummed if there was a delay - this is the first time I have ever got FAFSA filed this early.
