My English teacher has completed the recommendation online and submitted it, but she accidentally opted out of online forms and could not access her online account. I am worried that the recommendation from my English teacher can no longer be accessible to admission officers. What should I do then?

Does your application show the recommendation as “submitted”? If not, she’ll need to send a paper copy to your schools. If so, then I think you’re probably OK. I believe the opt-out applies only prospectively and should not affect recs she previously completed online.

But, you’ll want to check in with your schools to verify this once your apps start being downloaded by them. If they don’t get the rec, then you’ll need to (possibly quickly) get the teacher to send a copy by mail or even scan and email.

Thank you for your input. In “Manage recommenders”, the teacher evaluation form is shown as submitted but in “Assign recommenders”, it is shown as “offline forms”. This is where I am confused.

This is exactly what happened to me!!!
If the status once showed ‘submitted’ it means its reached to those colleges already (if u hav submited your commonapp). Next option you have for the remaining college on your list is to invite the same teacher on another email ID. And warn the teacher to not to click on ‘offline recommend’, not even by mistake.
Good day!

Thank you very much, Nebico. You made my day!
