Submitted online... not there?

I sent in all my materials to Reed a while ago, and have since then periodically gone to their site and checked the status of my application, of course. To make sure they got everything and whatnot. For some reason however, it is saying that they do not have my Why Reed essay. If I had sent it in the mail, I would just assume it was taking a while to process, which would be understandable, and nothing to worry about. However, I submitted it online (via the supplement with Common App, which they did get. I went back to Common App and checked the supplement I sent, and the essay was definitely uploaded and attached). So I'm a bit at a loss.

Should I just assume they got it, and for some reason the status page just isn't registering it, but when they go through my file everything should be cool?

Should I mail in a hard copy of my essay while I still have some time, just in case? Issue with this is that if they do already have it, that would make me seem a bit... errr... flaky maybe?

Any opinions welcome.

Just call the admissions office and ask. They're cheerful and helpful and will tell you exactly what, if anything, you should do. There's nothing flaky about your question.

after you applied, how long before you got a login for the site? was it via email or snailmail?

Sounds good. Ill just drop them a call on monday. Thanks for the input.

I received the login via snailmail. Don't remember how long after having submitted the application, but I don't recall it being unseemingly long.

the same thing happened to me last year - they didn't show that they got my reccomendations. so I emailed Kathy Hobblit and she took care of it :)
