Would you advise your D or S to submit only one (optional) subject test score that is really solid (750 US Hist) if it is the only score he/she would submit? In other words, does it look strange to submit only 1 score or should my D submit at least 2 scores if she is going to submit at all? Her next highest is 690 in bio that she took in 10th grade. We are thinking that since the subject tests are optional for her that she should only submit the 750 but I don't want the schools to look poorly on receiving just one score if they prefer to see at least 2 (even though they are optional). She is applying to selective LACs that allow score choice and is interested in environmental studies. She did not take the SAT1 and will report ACT with writing (32C and 11 on essay). She has 4.0 UW GPA and most rigorous schedule available at her HS. I guess I am seeking input as to what would be best: report ACT with no SAT2; report ACT with just 750 US Hist score; report ACT with US Hist and 690 Bio. She is taking some SAT2s on Oct 11 so there is a chance she can come up with another solid score but in the meantime let's assume her scores will be as above moving forward. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Many schools already consider the ACT as SAT+SAT2, so any extra Subject Test you submit is really that, an extra. There’s no minimum, sending just 1 is fine.
