Getting ready to apply to college this fall, and I've taken both the ACT and SAT. SAT score was a 2250 and ACT score was a 35. I'm considering only submitting the 35 ACT since that would translate into ~2350 SAT, which is obviously better. Being from CT, that's not too common, so I'm a bit worried if that's a good plan. Any thoughts on submitting ACT only to schools in the Northeast (Brown, Dartmouth, Tufts, Williams, Harvard)? Does not submitting SAT put me at a disadvantage, should I submit both and hope they put more weight on the ACT? Any insight is appreciated.

act. Colleges wanna see that your score is the range. A 2200+ and a 2350 is virtually the same to them in my opinion. but submit the act since its higher

Some schools want to see results of ALL the tests you have taken, so you might not have a choice.

I believe if you took the SAT IIs and you need to submit those scores, colleges may be able to see your SAT scores as well. So you may have no choice and need to submit both scores. However, both scores are high. I’m sure they won’t hold it against you.

The five colleges you list allow you to submiot whichever scores you want to submit. You could send ACT or both ACT and SAT to them and they would choose the one they believe is higher. Be aware that Williams, Dartmouth and Harvard require two SAT subject tests even if you submit ACT.
