I wanted to know what would happen if I submitted a transfer app a day late than the deadline? the deadline is feb 1st but i don't think i'm ready to. I put it off because i wasn't sure if i wanted to apply but decided at last minute that i do. </p>
<p>You take the risk that they disregard the application entirely, of course.</p>
<p>It would depend on the school. If a school has a lot of applicants, it is an easy way to disqualify someone.</p>
<p>You have no chance of admission if you don’t apply. I would contact their admissions office and ask if they would be willing to give you an extension.</p>
<p>Yes, but the admissions office isn’t open today. A million years ago my brother got accepted to Stanford writing about how his biggest problem was procrastination and sending in his application a day late. I doubt that would fly today. I think you should make a real effort to get the thing in today and find a post office that is open late.</p>

<p>If you are submitting a paper application, it is a pretty good chance that it won’t make any difference. It takes a few days for the mail room to organize everything and there is variance in how long the mail takes.</p>
<p>Computer applications get time stamped of course (and might be set up to refuse late apps), but most places will probably give you some leeway. They aren’t interested in punishing people for all manner of computer problems, internet outages, etc.</p>
<p>I’d advise not lying about it but I wouldn’t mention anything either as long as you have it in the next day.</p>

<p>Why can’t you get this application done TODAY? Why?? Many college applications are submitted online. You should be able to get THAT part done today. The supporting info (letters of recommendation, transcripts) can be requested tomorrow.</p>
<p>If you REALLY want to apply to this college…get the application done TODAY. I can’t think of good reason why this would NOT be able to be done…if you really want to apply to this school.</p>
<p>I have NEVER heard of a college granting an extension on their application deadlines by request.</p>
