I just submitted my UC Application. I’ll complete my IGETC by the end of next Spring before transfer. I just realized we will need to submit our IGETC Petition Forms sometime next year. I looked at my school’s form and it asks that we list one school for each form. I applied to 4 schools, so would I need to submit 4 petitions because I have no idea which schools will accept me etc?

IGETC is normally done in the spring after you are accepted. See, for example, the instructions at https://www.sbcc.edu/transfercenter/files/IGETC_Certification_Application.pdf
You just submit one cerification to the UC that you SIR to. It isn’t sent before.
Thanks guys. My school will start letting people submit their petitions as soon as January 1st, so I was kind of confused.
@philosoup. Maybe it just means the request can be filed to get the process rolling. (Petition is not the same word as certification.) Also, I’m not familiar with CSU, but if they have spring admits, it could relate to that.
Thank you. We are required to list the name of one school we want the certification to be sent to. At this point even if I wanted to get a head start, I have no idea where I’ll be attending school…so it’s difficult imo.
