I sent it through e-mail directly to the admissions office because I didn't find any reps listed on Princeton web site (do they have such list online?) and they replied to me in less than 30 mins!

My CG office faxed it and I mailed a hardcopy.

My interviewer kept persisting that I send Princeton any new information that I can right now because it might be crucial to push you over to acceptance/denial.

But to be honest, I don't have anything major to send them :

I wonder if there was something he knew about my application that he kept telling me to send them anything new... (i doubt it though)

I have a similar question: I recently applied for the Princeton Prize in Int'l Relations and have gotten inside word that I'm one of the top applicants. Supposedly, I will also be getting an interview for this prize in a couple weeks. Should I even bother to update colleges with this information, or will it just appear petty and useless?

I don't think it would appear petty, but at this point, the decisions have almost all been made, so yeah, it might be useless. If you're really worried ask your GC.

my GC gave me advice this past december, after i was deferred from yale. he said that it's best to reply to the college within one month of your deferral to tell them that their school is still your number one choice. this should be a hard-copy letter.

i think that if you have further updates after that one-month period, then email is totally fine. although i agree with ceebee--it's too late to send that info now. Unless-perhaps- you call them and they arrange for you to send a fax or email.

shrimpthief, what is the Princeton prize in IR? sounds awesome.

I could be wrong, but I believe he meant the "Princeton Prize in Race Relations". See here.

Recently, I've received some awards and made some special achievements...

I would like to tell Princeton. Can any one tell me what is the good email address to use? simply its admissions email?

Congratulations on your accomplishments, Jack. Unfortunately at this time Princeton has already made their admissions decisions. Don't lose hope, though! This new information would be perfect to include in an "update letter" in April if you get waitlisted. Just inform them that Princeton is still your first choice, if accepted off the waitlist you will attend, and you've included your 3rd quarter grades and awards...etc.

"Unfortunately at this time Princeton has already made their admissions decisions."

i assume (perhaps erroneously) that you know what you're talking about. so, a couple of questions:
-how?
-and, why wait another 16 days to tell us if they know now?

All I know is that our GC's (at my school, that is) already know where we're going to get/not going to get in (including Princeton). Who knows what they're doing now....maybe just double-checking everything! I didn't mean to be quite so definitive-sounding, but I really do think that at this point, the admissions people have made their decisions about almost all the apps.

cool, thanks.

so...did you get in, according to the gcs? or are they not telling?

Ha, I wish they'd tell! We all spend the whole week before spring break "interpreting smiles" (was it a sad smile? congratulatory smile? sympathetic smile?).

What is a gc?

guidance counselor

I don't think so. They just accepted my TOEFL scores.

"Thank you for sending the update to your application to the Admission Office. We will forward your message to the secretary compiling your credentials to place in your file so the officer reading your application will have it. Good luck with your application."

^^ They sent the exact same reply to me when I updated my app at the beginning of March.
Maybe they're still deciding, but maybe they just use the same response for everyone whenever they see "update" in the subject so they wouldn't give a clue before the official decisions date.

Whatever it is, good luck to us all!
