We have to submit our paper tax returns to a college, and they have to be SIGNED. But since they were originally e-filed, they only have electronic signatures. The college said to make a copy and sign them. What date should we put on them? We are thinking it should be the date we actually signed them, even though these are 2015 tax returns and it is now 2017.
When we had to do,that, we signed with the date we had actually electronically signed our returns.
What if I don’t remember? That was sometime in April 2016.
We have our electronically filed returns receipts saved on our computer. The date of those is when we submitted.
If you used Turbotax or something like that…you should be able to go in and see the date you submitted.
If you used an accountant…ask that person.
