I am applying for the Emory Scholars Program and I just found out that they "highly recommend" a teacher recommendation. However, on the commonapp website, there is no place to assign a teacher to emory. So how do we submit it online then?

For Emory Scholars, I'm pretty sure a teacher recommendation is required, not just recommended. This is clearer on the Nomination Form than on the website (there, I think it's referred to as the "scholar recommendation," which is not the same as the secondary school report). At least that's how we interpreted it. D sent everything hard copy, in one envelope (which is what they prefer if at all possible).

Emory prefers things be done online but you have to mail in your teacher recommendations and counselor forms

To facilitate the processing of your application, please mail the following items in one package if possible:
• Part Two of Emory’s application or the entire Common Application
• your essay and short answer responses
• all transcripts
• all recommendations

Based on that -- we mailed everything in. But I wish we'd asked "return receipt requested."

Zetesis your daughter application will be fine. When Emory gets your package they sending you a letter saying so. At the worst, even if your daughter package arrives late they will them process is based on the post most date

It was postmarked on 10/27, so I'm not worried about that part of it. It would just be nice to know that it was received without having to wait for the letter that says so.
