subtle sign of rejection?

so I applied for financial aid, and my IDOC data hasn't been loaded yet...and it was received by the collegeboard a couple weeks ago... could it just mean they don't need to load it and I'm not being offered financial aid (and thus acceptance)...? anyone else in a similar situation?

sorry if I'm freaking out, but I love this school

Dont put too much thought into stuff like this. Maybe they are just processing it a little slowly. So cheer up, and dont worry :) We will all know when the decisions come, and till then, hold on!!!!! :)

I'm a transfer admit but back when I was applying, NU claimed it did not have my info from IDOC even after I received my acceptance.

I've learned in what seems like an eternal application process that you really can't take "subtle signs" for much of anything. As much fun as it is to think "ooh, this envelope smells strange! is that perfume?" and think that maybe they're trying to seduce you, it's better to just chill and wait until you get your decision. For instance, I got a call from Yale specifically for EASD, but it turns out later they had mixed up an SAT score (800 writing, no less) with another student who had the same name, middle initial and all. Needless to say, I was ****ed, and I thought they'd let me in because they felt badly or something. No dice. I was deferred.

So in short, as painful as it is, don't drive yourself into insanity because of something that's probably just an error. College admissions officers aren't known for their subtlety.

oh, sorry, i wasn't swearing (i thought).

I was angry. I used a different word for angry.

Sometimes people use that word when they are talking about relieving themselves.

Good luck!

I had the same problem with the IDOC information. You should call the financial aid department and ask them to check their system to see if they have your info. Ultimately, if it appears recieved on the IDOC website, NW has not uploaded it to your application status page yet. Definantly call them because mine had those "N" by all my financial aid information until I called them and they changed it.

Same here.

My IDOC information was never uploaded, I emailed them they replied saying they received it.

leaderman1990, that sounds gruesome. Was it an actual PHONE CALL??!
