Successful people who DIDNT go to Ivy Leagues

Herman Melville didn't go to college. He makes fun of Harvard and Yale in Moby-Dick.

I hate Yale.

tom, the guy who invented myspace went to bekerley so i dont think he counts but o well, he's my hero..

I would take it there are many more succesful people from non-top schools than there are from top schools.

Lol, you admire myspace??? Yuckkkkkkkk

Facebook >>>>>>>>>>> myspace

Please don't forget me!

The Forbes list of the Richest People in the World is populated with a ton of college dropouts.

Speaking of household names: Martha Stewart, BA Barnard College

Well my mom went to Barnard also, but her degree says Columbia on it....so...

Martha Stewart went to Barnard back when Columbia didn't accept women (or am I off a little in the years). Barnard was where all the girls who would have gone to Columbia went instead. Either way, it's undergrad is affiliated with Columbia's and she's a Columbia alum.

Also, going to Penn, I plan to be more successful than all these people, so I'll just be another amazing Ivy Leaguer while the rest of the world lives in mediocrity.

this is MY thread.

Yeah?.....

Tupac.

Jambo. /comment/

Maybe we should start a thread titled "Losers who DID go to Ivy Leagues."

Define "success."

Is success how much money you make, or how many times your name comes up in Google? I think that my professors are all pretty successful people, and some of them went to no-name schools.

I really think that success is one of those impossible to define things that few people younger than 30 really have a good grasp of in reality. Myself included.

Leeroy Jenkins is from WoW.

Matt Groening.

Also, Julie Taymor went to Oberlin, and she's one of the smartest people ever, imo.

kyle miller

I'm gonig to Oberlin, and I'm going to rule the world someday, and be the most famous person ever.

^Not if I beat you to it and save one for the Ivy League.
