Is there anyone who sucessfully transfered from international universty and got full financial aid? What was your stat? Please help with others.
(from a fellow international transfer) It is highly unlikely you will get any financial aid, let alone a full ride. Most top schools actually state they don’t help international transfers with money at all. The money they have, which is always limited for transfers, will go to the most underprivileged US citizens. I guess it really depends on what university you want to go to, but I wouldn’t count on it I’m afraid.
I saw on your previous post you are considering applying to Amherst - they are need-blind I believe but you should check that.
Amherst is need blind but it is very competitive to get in as a transfer student. But are you conaidering that schools could get in international transfer students who are applying financial aid
No - I’m not applying for aid as I know it will harm my chances of getting into good schools. I’m afraid I’m just lucky that my family can afford to send me and it is a huge privilege.
I wouldn’t discourage you from applying, but if they are top schools you have to prepare yourself to be disappointed - and almost every school is “need-aware” for international transfers so that will play into your admissions decision.
