Sucky GPA

So… disclaimer my GPA isn’t “sucky” but by CC standards I’m a failure. So I have a 3.95 right now but I might get a high B, which is still a B heh… along with some A-'s. And I think my GPA will drop to 3.88

Is there still any chance that better school will even CONSIDER me? (Emory, WUSTL specifically)

Also, if I get all A’s next year will my GPA raise to a 3.9 at least? And if I apply EA will colleges see my cumulative GPA after first semester of senior year?

(Sorry so many questions piled into one post)

That’s still a good GPA even by CC standards (assuming that’s unweighted). You have nothing to worry about. Yes, they will consider you.

EA: They won’t see your first semester grades, since decisions are released before then. If you are deferred, they will, however.

And I’m pretty sure colleges will be fine if you have a B on your transcript. A B is not bad. People make mistakes; it won’t end your chances, especially if it’s a top school, since they look at far more than just your GPA.

A 3.88 gpa isn’t bad at all :frowning:
Yeah, those schools will still definitely consider
You should be able to raise it to a 3.9 by getting all A’s
Colleges won’t see your first semester grades if you do EA

Oh boy, what has CC done to your standards? A 3.88 is a nice GPA, don’t worry so much.

If you can raise it still, excellent. If you can’t, it is by no means indicative of you being a ‘failure’.

thanks all, yeah it’s my unweighted GPA
Just worried that some of my reach schools won’t even consider me since there are “GPA/Standardized test scores cut offs” (or is that a myth??)
