Suggestions for doing better in AP USH?

I’m struggling a bit with my AP USH class in terms of the daily quizzes based on the textbook readings. My teacher doesn’t really follow a specific pattern to his questions; he even told me that his quizzes are completely random. He suggested that the best thing I can do to prepare for daily quizzes is by noticing the question types. Sometimes when I take the quizzes on a chapter, some of the questions I struggle with because I may have missed some of those points in the textbook. However, a history textbook contains so much information for a chapter that I feel like the only way it would seem to ace all of my APUSH teacher’s daily quizzes is to almost make note of almost every single detail when outlining. But that’s not very practical or time efficient concerning my other classes.

So my question is: do you guys have any suggestions as how to do better with the daily quizzes in my teacher’s class? I’ve talked with my teacher a few times and he said it’s normal to come in and just fail a quiz. But still, I would like to make more consistent higher marks on the quizzes. If anyone who’s taken APUSH with daily quizzes and has succeeded in the class, please give some suggestions as how to do better.

What kind of questions are there?

Are they detailed?

What year was the constitutional convention…

1776 1777 1778 etc.

or are they big picture questions?

result of “common sense”

I guess that they’re more detailed. But he usually gives one or two detailed questions.

all you can do is just read and reread your textbook then.

Actively read, although redundant now it’ll help you later on when the subject is…

idk organic chemistry in college? lmao
