Suggestions for student with 3.56 GPA and 30 ACT/1980 SAT

Hi I am a female student from Alaska. I have a GPA of 3.56 UW and 3.72 W. 30 on the ACT and a 1980 on SAT.
I applied to University of Minnesota-TC about two months ago, as it is my top choice and I just wanted that extra assurance by applying early. But as the admissions are starting to roll in and I expect to receive a decision sometime within the next couple of months, I have been thinking it is time to start applying to other schools.

I have already applied to University of Alaska Anchorage as this is my ultimate safety and have already received numerous scholarships for Alaska universities. However, I am planning on applying to several other schools, and need some suggestions for schools.

So far i am thinking of applying to:

U Denver
CU Boulder
University of St Thomas
Oregon State
(Maybe) UW

I dont really mind the size of schools but have so far been leaning toward bigger ones. I plan on majoring in neuroscience so a school that offers a degree in that would be great, otherwise biochemistry or a general bio degree is fine. Thank you so much for your suggestions!!

How much will your family pay each year?

Those schools won’t likely give you much/any aid.

Have you had your parents run the net price calculators on the schools’ websites?

You will also have to include a greater transportation budget.

yep, money is a determining factor in 99% of cases, OP.

I did a neuroscience search for D recently and UPitt was high on our list (they like regional diversity, so they’re going to like your AK residency). Their neuroscience is internationally known, they have hospitals galore at Pitt and in the city, research opps abound, honors students guaranteed opps, good merit, etc. 43K cost of attendance.

we also looked for (and liked) neuroscience at Rochester, Tulane, Brandeis, Boston U, Case Western, Ohio State, Miami OH, Rensselaer, Rutgers, Syracuse, South Carolina, Temple, USC.
