Suggestions for Waitlisters

Hey everyone! My boyfriend got waitlisted at CMC and it is by far and away his top choice. Does anyone have any suggestions about what he should do to better his chances of getting in?
Thanks!

Writing a letter explaining how & why it's his top choice, he hopes to still be considered, and mentioning additional/new accomplishments, etc, that weren't on the application would be helpful.

Yeah. Or visit; if you're on the west coast, plane tickets are cheap. It depends why they wait-listed him. If he's iffy on the strength of the application, then it should really be 50/50 'i'm a great applicant + i really want to go here', but if it looks like he's more likely to go somewhere else, they could waitlist him for being too strong. I don't know if CMC actually does that kind of strategic waitlisting, but other really selective places do so.

A heartfelt letter is the best thing to do. If he has any recent accompishments, talk about that. Plus, why he loves this place, why he needs the opportunity of attending, why CMC coincides with who he is. Stuff like that I guess.....

Thanks guys. He's writing a letter tonight, and getting a lot of teacher and counselor recommendations. I hope it all goes well. Again, thank you so much for your input.
