Suggestions of schools for vocal performance - country music

I am helping a friend of mine whose daughter is focusing on country music. She has already had some great opportunities - singing with Hootie and the Blowfish as well as Rascal Flatts. She has an upcoming opportunity with Lady Antebellum so I'm thinking there must be some high regard for her stage performance ability. However, she is a high school senior and ready to get started on her applications. Any suggestions here on schools that cater to popular/country music.

Maybe Belmont U. in Nashville?
[Major in Commercial Music - Belmont University](http://www.belmont.edu/music/degrees/music_undergraduate/major_in_commercial_music/index.html)

or, East TN State UN

I second Belmont. D has a friend there who plays regularly as a studio musician in Nashville.

Thanks! I had pulled those two and was also looking at some “popular” music programs like Thornton.

Look into university of Colorado-Denver. Also, if she writes songs, Miami Frost has a Creative American Music program she may like.

I second the Belmont suggestion.
There is also a program at NYU Tisch called Clive Davis Recording Arts that is tailored to performers who also are interested in producing their work. Just FYI…
