D has recently decided that she would rather major in vocal performance than musical theatre. We've been researching MT for the last three years. Now we are switching gears. Any suggestions on good vocal perf programs for contemporary, pop, country, jazz, blues? A school with a music business program (minor?) would be a plus.

I seem to be in the same situation. Both my daughters wanted to persue MT ( oldest is a freshman at NYU MT )
now my youngest ( class of 2015 ) wants commercial voice. The only schools I found with this program are Belmont, USC and university of Denver- also U of Miami has a great program although a little different.
My D does study opera and would like to continue training her voice, but country is her love so she would love a commercial voice dept. There’s also Berkley but my D also enjoys writting and history so conservatories are out.
After last year with all the MT aud. I feel like I finally understand that whole process, and am clueless about this one. Maybe we can share info??
