After getting really bad PSAT scores in 10th and 11th grade (sub 1800's), i took a small group tutoring class with kaplan, and raised my score to 2020.
my breakdown was CR: 700 M: 570 W: 750, and I will be applying to schools like Georgetown, GW, Penn, American, and Johns Hopkins, so I think my scores need to be higher (especially since my grades are not up to par).
I'm willing to work a lot this summer to raise my score, but I am wondering what is the best path to go by. Is tutoring worth it? Should i just focus on my weakness' and nothing else?
im looking to clear 2150 and in the 2200 range.
any input appreciated!!

Do at least one, better two, sections of practice tests (timed) every day. Check your answers and figure out why you missed it. Keep a record of what you are missing. If there are concepts in the math section that you are weak on, then collect your wrong responses from several practice tests and spend some time with a math tutor. If you plan to work on SAT every day for at least 30 minutes and get help where you need it your score WILL go up.
