suggestions

so, i'm currently enrolled as a first year at a small, 1100 people, liberal arts school in my home state. i'm not unhappy here, but i feel as if i should be getting way more out of college than i am. so, i'm considering transferring. problem is, though, i dont know any particular school that i should consider.

i want a school that is small, in new england (away from home), preferably not too far from a larger city, if not in a large city. i also want a school with lots of diversity, which my current college lacks. another thing, it needs to have a good, if not great academic reputation with approachable professors. oh, and i'd really like it if the college offered arabic as a language (which isnt likely considering small schools dont typically offer arabic).

i've considered colgate, but i was just wondering if anyone on CC had any suggestions that fit the criteria...

thanks!

anyone????

Well, Colgate is not near a large city, unless you'd consider Syracuse a large city which I wouldn't and I don't think the students go there too often anyway. Nor is it really diverse racially, though you get students from most of the US states and many foreign countries. My D feels the profs are very approachable and the reputation is pretty solid and it does offer Arabic
