I will be taking this class next year and I want to be overly prepared when I start. Many people have dropped APUSH, like 40%+. I want to at least make a B at the end of the semester and get a perfect score on the AP test. Anyone have suggestions for us who will take it next year?

Read a few monographs...I suggest Angels and Demons

Buy a US His testbook online (preferably one that is used in college) and read a few chapters.

Mainly, just study, study, study! The AP exam demands consistent study over the entire year. It's not possible or even logical to cram for, so, it really is a death sentence for some students. Visit with your teacher often. The teacher is really your best resource.

If you want to prepare, you could ask the teacher who teaches it this year if you can borrow a textbook over the summer. Or you could buy your own, but whatever you do, DON'T buy the American Pageant. It is the most boring history textbook I've ever read. (I had to use it during the first month of APUSH)

I use The Enduring Vision now and it is not nearly as bad as The American Pageant.
