^oh cool...

so since you guys are all on the east coast and i'm on the other side of the world in Arizona, I expect that you will get your decision in the mail before me. Please let me know what the acceptance/rejection envelopes look like so i'll know what to expect =)

will do...

did anyone here also apply to mites?

i did apply to mites

I got into the AP/EA program through SAMS. Everything was completely paid for, even my lab fees. I had a amazing time and it really helped in my decision to attend CMU.

Good luck to you guys applying.

Thank you.

Question, when you say you got in AP/EA through SAMS, do you mean that you applied to SAMS, but they offered you a spot at AP/EA (b/c you were "overqualified" for SAMS)?

so about two weeks ago i was looking for other summer programs, and i completed about half of an application to some random college when i realized that the program was only for enrolled college students. Anyways, I didn't finish the application and completely forgot about the program until today when they e-mailed me a rejection letter that i mistook for the CMU program. Scariest thing ever.

lol....

(10 char)

heyy, this might seem like a stupid question, but:

how do you send psat scores?

do you just make a photocopy and send it to them?

and for sat scores, do you have to pay to send it to cmu? where at cmu do you send it to? is there some special place/designation for the summer program?

Um, I sent photocopies of my score reports for PSAT and SAT, just to save money, and if they'll accept PSAT photocopies, then why wouldn't SAT ones be ok as well.

I also sent a photocopy of my PSAT score report. I emailed an adcom about this, and they said it was okay.

photocopies here for SAT/PSAT as well... Im pretty sure that most colleges have access to our PSAT scores though. How else would we get so much random mail?

^^^thanks for the responses. and lol bco09, good point=)

i won't be able to send everything before this friday at the earliest. i hope there's still time left for them to consider me....aghhhh.

^you're really cutting it close...but i guess it's worth a shot.

yeah...thats super late. anyways, so I got a response that says decisions can't be sent out until the first week of May. So you all still have quite a while..

why can't they be sent out until the first week of May? Also, when did you get this response; b/c I just emailed someone, and they told me within 2 weeks.

^ and when i called, they told me decisions should be out this week.

Subject: FW: SAMS Decisions

Hello,

Thanks for the email and interest in Carnegie Mellon. Unfortunately, we
will not be sending out SAMS decisions until the first week of May as stated
in the application. We are unable to release decisions prior to that date
due to the large number of applications. Thanks.

lol, I love the totally conflicting information we've all been getting. Were you sure to specify that it was for Diversity? Maybe they understood you to be referring to the Pre-College program. Hopefully thats just for SAMS and not APEA. (If its accurate at all..)
