i think I signed up for an english one and nanoscience. The other sciences were either too focused or AP style. I do hope that I can switch classes.

I honestly think they only asked for them on the apps so they could get a feel for what kind of students were applying. I'm sure if we get in (super knock on wood) they won't hold us to those specific courses.

When do results for the APEA (precollege, not the free one) come out?

Is it rolling admissions?

Thanks

For the not free one I think it could be any time now. I called them about it and they said they begin making decisions last week so you can call and find out if yours has been made. I called and they still havent gotten to mine yet.

And do they tell you about their decision by snail mail or email?

They ll send snail mail but once they make the decision i believe we can find out through the phone.

I just called them and I ve been accepted to ap/ea and game academy.

WAIT WAIT WAIT... hold up.

APEA - Fees & Requirements - Carnegie Mellon Summer Programs for Diversity
AP/EA Courses - Fees & Requirements - Carnegie Mellon offers Courses for College Credit

What is the difference? It says the Pre-college AP/EA costs money but the Summer Programs for Diversity AP/EA doesn't cost money. Why is this? Aren't they the same program?

wow, they've already decided? i just sent mine today, kinda late i know, but i just found out about it a few weeks ago. i'm super nervous. i really want to go to this, along with the thousands of other applicants lol :D

hey could anybody chance me?

APEA - Carnegie Mellon Summer Programs for Diversity

thanks brownboy :)

i'm excited to know whether i made it lol
do they send a confirmation once they get your app? i think the website said they would.

they sent a postcard with a checklist for what they have recieved. The one I got only had a couple things checked off even though I sent in everything. I called and they actually had everything.

The results for the diversity program won't come out until early - mid may..such a long wait.

hmm I haven’t gotten a postcard for confirmation of my materials, but I sent it in on the first “deadline”. Should I call them to ask if they actually got my stuff? It seems like most people got a postcard a while ago…

I didn’t get a postcard either but I e-mailed to check on my application- turns out they got it. I suggest you e-mail them.

I didn’t get a postcard either, and I called them to confirm. I really wanted to ask if they made their decision yet but I figured it would be rather awkward to find out on the phone…
