<p>So I’m not an URM and I heard that SAMS is almost 90% african american or hispanic. I was wondering, for those of you who attended SAMS, how many asian or caucasian students were there? Thanks in advance</p>
<p>Last year there were 3 completely Caucasian, a couple mixed. A few Asians but as you said mostly African American and Hispanic.</p>

<p>Anyone knows how many rising jouniors and rising seniors are accepted into the SAMS program?</p>
<p>I got very excited yesterday when I received a call from CMU, but alas they were calling to say that they did not have the application to go with the supplemental materials that I mailed. I had an email confirmation after submitting the online application, but apparently there had been some tech issues and they didn’t have it, so they emailed me the application and I had fill it out and resend it. I did try ask when decisions were being mailed out but the only information I was given was “we are in the middle of the process.”</p>
<p>Has anyone received any news good or bad</p>
<p>I wonder if I should go ahead and pay for the PreCollege APEA program (which I was accepted to) or wait and see if I get accepted into Diversity. Does anyone know the deadline to pay the tuition?</p>
<p>They have to receive it by May 15th. I have also considered just paying the APEA fee and not even bothering to wait for SAMS decisions.</p>

I heard it’s a tough applicant pool so congrats to all the people that got in! :)</p>
