Yes there are restrooms (quite a few, actually) right next to the dorms. There’re some on both the first and second floors.

So like, showers aren’t in the room?

Is there a facebook group?

Yeah SAMS 2012. If you can’t find it send me a PM and we’ll sort it out tomorrow.

Project choices in the email! About time!

admitted off of the waitlist :)

I just sent in my application for the AP/EA program. Anyone else applying?

Wow, you submitted your application early. I am applying for SAMS (which I think also means I am considered for AP/EA). I haven’t started my application yet, though. I asked 2 math/science teachers for LOR last week.

Im thinking of applying for drama. My grades r a mix of as and bs. I haven’t taken my sat yet and when i do they wont b ready before applying. I got a psat score of 149. Im applying for their diversity program. Im biracial. Do i have a chance?

@frinkila - As long as you write great essays :)

They don’t care about grades and numbers as much as they care about your passion for whatever you’re applying for. Since you’re applying for drama, I doubt they’ll more than glance at your scores. The essays are what count the most.

yeah thank you for the confidence boast i know want to make sure my essays are perfect. we will definitely revive this thread!

So upset, I should have done my research before I sent in the online app… I only applied to the AP / EA program, not SAMS. I’m a white middle-class female (lol I know, so diverse) and I just assumed that since I take APs that was the choice for me. Knowing that I probably won’t get accepted sucks, because I can’t find any other free programs… Just because my parents are middle-income doesn’t mean they have 8000 bucks to just throw at a summer program. Sigh…

@jdaniels90 - You can still apply to SAMS. It doesn’t matter if you apply to more than one program or not.

Ap/Ea does come with a pretty price tag…I’m pretty sure you can redo the application and chose SAMs…and don’t discourage yourself because your a middle class white female…I am and I went last year…how are your stats? Make sure you write really good essays especially for the diversity one…because we’re not really considered diverse lol

Just got into the AP/EA Pre-College Program!

I have a question:
I also applied to the Diversity AP/EA Program, and the website says I will not get results from that until May. Will it be possible for me to cancel my spot in the regular Pre-College if I get into Diversity?

I would think so goldenchest. Also congrats!

Thanks!

Oh, and one more thing. Should I take Chemistry I or Physics I, assuming I love both subjects equally? Which one do you guys think is more difficult/time consuming?

I think you should take physics I. There is more math involved and the subject itself can be very time consuming.

I just completed the online portion of the application for SAMS, but I would also like to be considered for AP/EA. What’s the best way to do this? Also, I’m a white male…how likely am I to be chosen?

Just submit a second essay for the ap/ea program.and u have a chance as long as your essays are truly amazing. Good luck
