What is the difference between the summer academy and summer school? They seem like the exact same thing… I am a transfer student and recently got accepted into the summer academy.
The Summer Academy is a very special 5 week program that will offer a lot. Compared to traditional Summer School you’ll have access to on-campus housing, meals, specific tutors, mentors, and much more. You’ll be taking two classes, and the cost ends up being very close to equal. It’s definitely an unique opportunity, and a great way to kick off your time at UCSD.
Wouldn’t it be harder since I would have to be taking two classes in one session in the summer academy oppose to if I took one per summer session in regular summer school
It depends on what you want to do for those five weeks. You could take it easy and relax with just one course. Or you could do the academy, take two classes, and dedicate those five weeks exclusively to school.
