Summer after Senior year

I'm at a lost for what to do other than a minimum wage job or community college class. I feel like I'm just waiting for college to start.

Anyone else?

Why don't you travel somewhere, perhaps by yourself? You have nine weeks of vacation where virtually nothing except class selection needs to be completed.

cmon any other seniors? What are you doing this summer?

9 weeks working at a boy scout summer camp!

i will actually look forward to sharing a dorm room with a roomate after sharing a 8'x8' canvas tent with someone for 9 weeks in all types of weather.

I'm going to Sweden and Denmark for the International Rotary Convention. Then touring Europe for about 2 weeks. Then I'm staying in Shanghai, China for about a month. Should be pretty good =).

What is the IRC? And why will you be in Shanghai (which was quite a nice city, and I wish I had had more time to stay there...)

Rotary is a humanitarian and philatropic (spelling?) organization. I'll be going there to represent Interact (high school volunteering organization) District 5170 based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'll be in Shanghai because I was born there (yeah, a fob =P) and I have family there. Oh, and my parents want me to learn Chinese. Good way to get away from the stress of academics for a while.

I have been learning Chinese well enough here, and I probably have less than 300 in the whole area. SF has a lot more, so many that it is still called 舊金山 by some. Will you be in a formal program while staying with the family, or will you just stay with the family and do things? Finally, I hope you are not a junior.
