Summer Analyst Housing, best places to stay?

Hey guys,

For those of you in IB SA programs, I'm curious to know where you'll be staying.I'm looking for a fully-furnished spot that ends August 14th other than EHS and nycinterns.org. I really don't care if the place is nice, because I will barely be in my room. I'm just looking for something in Manhattan.

Columbia and NYU end August 7th so those are out of the question. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

My friend said EHS was sucked. I know some people do NYU and then find some other place to stay for the last week of their internship

Yeah, I was told a few people do that.

It seems like an unnecessary inconvenience though, especially if you’re focused on getting the FT offer.

Just out of curiosity, why did EHS suck? They have housing in FiDi, which is ideal for those of us not working around Midtown. It also seemed like a relatively new building.

EHS does suck avoid it. I would do NYU and crash with someone the last week. Thats what I did last year.

Why would NYU be preferable over EHS? Seems like 55 John St. is newer and has AC/Kitchen/Flat Screen, compared to Greenwich hotel? Anyone have prior experiences?

Thanks

It would indeed be very helpful if someone can talk about exactly why EHS sucked, since what sucked for one person might actually be a good thing for another. Single occupancy rooms at EHS are running out very quickly and it’d be useful to find out what their living arrangements are like. I believe I speak for myself and other interns that getting quality rest trumps pretty much every other aspect including expenses and social activities.

It ends on the 14th, has singles, great location(s). It doesn’t require a meal plan, like some of NYU dorms. My daughter is staying there this summer. I had someone check out the Chelsea dorm. It’s nice and the area is safe and great for young people.
