Summer AP Classes

Does anyone know any summer programs that offer AP classes?

try CTY (Johns Hopkins)

y ap when you could do much more interesting courses...

And chances are you will forget everything in the 9+ months between when you take the class and when you take the test

Why take AP course if you could self-study? It's just out of the textbook anyway - and there's so little time that you can't do anything extra.

I'd take a truly unique course that doesn't count as credit.

Where do you get the textbooks to study for the AP exam?

Like a bunch of other people, I don't see a point to studying for a AP test over the summer. Why? Because (I think) there's more interesting and exciting things to do and (more importantly) you probably won't remember much after 9 months and there won't be anyone to guide you on studying for the AP, since you're teaching yourself.

Still, if you want to self study from a college textbook, the AP Acorn Outline for each test normally has a list of recommended books. You can buy used books at thousands of websites online. See what books other students taking the AP class (here, and at your school) are using.
