summer at brown

Okay I have a few questions, becuase my dad just said fill out the application and send it in, Ill pay. Soo yaa.

1) Will it be fun even though it's only one week? (Mini Course)
2) Do you have to attend once you've been accepted to the program?
3) Do any freshman do the mini courses, I don't wanna be the only one.

Pleaseee respondd.

look at the old thread...it's got lots of great info

But I'll answer your questions briefly.

1) Personally, I feel one week is way too short, especially if you're making the hassle to come all the way from Florida. 2 was awesome, 3 would have been perfect.

2) You can probably drop out at anytime. You'll probably lose deposit money, and maybe some other money depending on how late you leave.

3) I remember one freshman in my course...most people were rising juniors (like me), almost as many were rising seniors, and many of the internationals were even older (two in my class were 19!). But as long as you act mature, it really won't be a big deal.

Thanks princess. It's not that much of a hassle for me to come from Florida because after the course, I'm staying in the New England area for sleepaway camp.

Also, that doesn't sound too promising with the freshman thing. Ughhh. Im like going to be tiny compared to everyoe im like 5'2 at the most.

soccerstar, you'll be a rising sophomore, right? I know of at least five people who are applying so you won't be the only one. Most of the older kids go for the credit courses anyway.

Don't worry about that. besides you are a girl. There are PLENTY of grown women who are 5'2 or shorter.

Seriously? Im like the shortest kid in my grade, with a few exceptions. Everyone in my school is giant. Average height for a girl is around 5'6 ish. (FRESHMAN)

One week only? Thats way too short in my opinion. Does Brown offer anyone summer programs that are longer than 1 week?

Yeah, Chinabananas, the mini courses range from 1 - 4 or 5 weeks.

But the thing is, I can't go to ANYTHING for more than a week. So it's the only program that offers a 1 week thing. Whatever, I'm still going to do it.
