I am an international student, currently a freshman looking to apply to summer programs within the US and I have selected these five programs in order of preference. Previously I have attended the Choate Summer Programs for Middle School students. Thus, I am looking to attend a more challenging program this summer.

I have looked over the summer@brown website and I am looking to apply to a 3-week session of pre-college, and another 2-week session of the leadership institute. For pre-college, I am looking to take the course "so you want to be a doc?" and was wondering whether anyone had taken it before. Here are a few question that I have.

How challenging is the class?

Do you get a lot of work outside of the class?

Will you have free time after class (I heard that the class goes from 9AM to 4PM)?

What is the class size?

What did you do in the course? Was it hands-ons?

Was it taught be a brown professor of by brown grad students?

Was the program worth it?

Also, if you have any comments about any other programs, please post it here.
