Summer @ Brown? Do I have a chance?

I'm thinking of applying for Summer @ Brown, taking a week-long course called Writing the College Admissions Essay.

I'm a junior and I'm planning on asking my creative writing teacher to write a recommendation for me only because I took English 11 over the summer, so in turn Creative Writing is my "english" class for the year. I would like to know my chances for acceptance with a 2.95 GPA (Freshman and Sophomore year I didn't have my act together) however my PSAT scores were in the 92nd percentile (68 math, 58 critical reading, 63 writing) and I've taken only honors and AP courses (World History, Calculus AB, Music Theory) and I'm taking my fourth year of French this year. I also have some good extracurriculars, such as volunteer work at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, placement in the top orchestra for all 4 years.

Hopefully this will make up for my low GPA?

For summer @ brown, it probably will, for brown in real life, it wont. You pretty much need to be in the top 10% to have a shot at the top 15 colleges. Brown only admitted 3% of those in the second decile and below.
