Does cornell summer camp help in any way? Also, is cornell busy right now? I've sent three e-mails but they havent replied still though 3 weeks passed!! :(

Hmm…is Cornell busy? Why yes…they are reading thousands and thousands of applications.

They say cornell summer COLLEGE (as soon as you get there, you will realize it is not camp…kinda became a mantra for the three weeks) does not help with admissions, but can it hurt? It was an amazing experience for me. I learned more about Cornell, my field of study, and just college in general. Colleges like to see that you have been spending your summer in a productive way. CUSC is definately a great way to spend part of your summer! I wouldn’t count on it giving you a sure boost in admissions, but it is a worthwhile experience!

I agree with clinegirl. You could probably learn a lot about Cornell by coming, but I doubt it’d boost your chances for admission outside of the generic “doing something productive” over the summer.

However, I do hope you consider! I’m applying for a Summer RCA position, so it’s possible I’ll see you there. :)

I’d imagine that it could really help a strong application with a boost if you applied ED, because it shows interest.

Stay away from Cornell Summer College. It is a debacle.

Howso? I’ve applied for this summer.

Every review I’ve seen about CSUC has been amazing.

can you explain more, objective789…? I was planning to apply!

My daughter attend the Summer College program several years ago. The primary benefit for her was the assistance in determining if Cornell was the right environment. She enjoyed the experience, applied and was accepted and got a bonus of 3 credits. Did it help her get accepted - probable not, if she had done poorly in her class I am sure that would have been a killer though.
