I might need to take 2-3 courses in the summer by the time I graduate. I am planning on taking 8-week classes (not 4-) at the school that I am already attending, in the College of Arts and Sciences (not some weird summer extention or sth). Are they going to be treated like the rest of my classes?

That's what I've been wondering too...

Will someone please provide a satisfactory answer?

Is taking summer courses equivalent to taking normal ones?

The answer is that nobody knows for sure.

1.) If you have to take them to graduate, then by all means, take them! They might not be the best thing in the world, but certainly it's better than not graduating!

2.) Try to find something else to do with your summers instead - research, clinical exposure, etc. If you have to take summer classes, it's probably not that big a deal.
