I'm about 99% positive that I'm going to end up going to the U for the 2012-2013 school year. I'd be a freshman, and I plan on living in Minneapolis before the fall semester starts, so I was thinking about taking summer classes. Does anybody know how I'd go about getting into summer classes? When is the deadline for signing up for summer classes?

Thanks!

austingirl…You probably need to call the Admissions Office and check with them directly. Once you’ve committed to the University, there’s normally a hold on your student account until you attend an orientation session, and scheduling for your first semester will be completed during orientation. Not sure how they’d handle it for a Summer session prior to being officially enrolled, but they’ll be able to answer your question or at least get you directed to the people who can.

I wanted to do the same thing before my freshman year, but I didn’t end up doing it.

If I remember correctly, you’ll enroll in the College of Continuing Education for the summer session only (as opposed to the college you are accepted into) which doesn’t require an orientation.
