I'm currently taking a credit course over the summer to accelerate past a course at my high school. I was wondering (since it is for credits) whether this is included in my GPA. I have also completed a similar course in a different subject last year (it was online), and was similarly wondering whether the grade was included in the GPA calculations.

Ok, so does that mean if it is equivalent to an honors course which is included in the weighted and unweighted GPA. Also, say I took seven courses this year and received 2 B's(sorry I really dont too much about my school grading), but also have taken a summer course the previous year which is included in this years 'transcripts and received an A. Do you have any idea what my unweighted might be.

You'd probably be best off with consulting your school's guidance counselor. My friend did "independent study" of AP Comp. Sci. (meaning he was given a study hall and he had to self-study the material during it) where he completed all of the work and tests and all that jazz. He got an A in the class, however it was not included in his GPA calculations. A little sad for him, because it made him third in our class instead of first.
