Summer Debate Programs

I'm deciding between:

Stanford National Forensic Institute
OR
Whitman National Debate Institute

For this summer...which should I pick and why?

On a side note: How much of an effect does summer debate camp have on college admissions? And where on an application would you list it? (I will be attending anyway of course, just curious)

uhhh, not much. SNFI is way better than Whitman (i'm assuming this is for LD). NSD (national symposium for debate) is the best, probably followed by Victory briefs (vbi), however.

not much affect

though what does matter is how well you do at tournaments

ps to earl- I don't think you can make generalizations about programs like that

p.rai, cherian, i think mahoney, and dmeyers > mostafa and katherine preston

katherine did the infamous, "i concede, but I HATE THEORY" at blake.

regardless, i'm just giving advice. if the OP wanted elaboration, i'm fairly certain he/she would have asked for it sometime in the last two weeks.

i was talking about nsd v vbi. At the top level the suitibility of a program can only be evaluated by a sutdents needs. For an entering student the difference between being in the novice lab at vbi or nsd really isn't a huge difference.

+ad homs=not cool. srsly dude. IT also depends on which region the sutdent is from, i understand that PNW students might actually want to opt for WNDI due to the largely self contained circuit up there-wndi may actually fit their needs. Anyways, I suggest you don't drop names like that esp since i saw you were dissing some other camp employees in other forums. It is seriously not appreciated.
